Nancy Kratzer represents Sierra Delta LLC working contractually with several major DFW area law firms working closely with former U.S. Attorneys who are now partners in those firms. In this capacity, she has assisted them in several criminal defense investigations and trial preparation. Ms. Kratzer also serves as a consultant on Homeland Security Investigations, U.S. Customs trade issues, and health care fraud cases.
Nancy L. Kratzer was previously employed as the Deputy Special Agent in Charge, Criminal Investigations for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), Dallas, Texas. In this role, she directly managed a staff of over 200+ Federal Agents with an area of responsibility covering 128 counties in North Texas, Oklahoma and the encompassing five Department of Justice judicial districts.
Ms. Kratzer’s previous position was an assignment in Washington D.C., at HSI Headquarters, where she was the Director of the National Intellectual Property Rights Coordination Center (IPR Center). While working in this position, she served as the Department of Homeland Security’s Investigations representative to Interpol in Lyon, France related to worldwide IPR enforcement. Ms. Kratzer also served as the Section Chief for Commercial Fraud Investigations with Homeland Security from June 2001 until September 2004.
On December 31, 2010, Ms. Kratzer retired from HSI after serving 33 years as a Federal Agent. In addition to her experiences with HSI, she also held criminal investigative positions with the U.S. Customs Service specializing in trade fraud and organized crime narcotics investigations and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Inspector General, specializing in health care fraud investigations.
Ms. Kratzer graduated from Sam Houston State University, Huntsville, Texas in 1979 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Police Science and Law Enforcement, Cum Laude.
