Mike Pappas

Mike began his law enforcement career in the Harris County Sheriff's Dept in 1978. Served the University Park Police Dept and earned the rank of Sergeant.  He was elected to the office of Constable Precinct 1, Dallas County, in 1992, re-elected in 1996 and again in 2000.  

He holds an Honorable Retired Peace Officer Certification from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education.  As Constable, he initiated the “Together Against Drug Abuse Program” in the elementary schools throughout the Dallas area. He also established the Mental Health “APOWW team” to assist the mentally ill and chemically dependent individuals in Dallas County.  This Specialized Law Enforcement team received recognition by being awarded the Texas Association of Counties “2001 County Practices and Innovation Award” in law enforcement for Dallas County.  

After serving as Constable and Chief of Staff in District 1 for Commissioner Maurine Dickey, Mike retired from Dallas County effective March 2011 and he joined D&L Entertainment, Inc. as a Security Manager prior to joining Sierra Delta, LLC and Plains Capital Bank / Hill-Top Holdings Corporation. He now serves the former Co-CEO Alan B White with Alan White Companies.  

Mike is the former Board Membership Chair of the North Texas Crime Commission, and currently serves on the Crime Stoppers Reward Committee.  Mike is a current member of InfraGard and formerly represented Dallas City Council District 11 on the Dallas Citizens Police Review Board.  Mike is associated with D&L Security & Investigations, Inc. and Sierra Delta, LLC and currently holds a PPO (Personal Protection Officer), Private Investigators and Level III Security Licenses through the State of Texas.  Mike carries an Honorable Retired Master Peace Officers TCOLE License and Certification.
