Chief Glen Fowler began his law enforcement career in 1984 and promoted through the ranks to Chief of Police in 2006. He has served as Chief of Police for three Texas law enforcement agencies as well as chief of global security operations for a major national defense plant based in Fort Worth, Texas.
Chief Fowler has extensive experience in municipal law enforcement and has served as a K-9 Unit commander, patrol and SWAT commander, mobile field force commander, investigations section and division commander, and a leader in the recruitment, training and administration of Texas peace officers and private security professionals. He has demonstrated successful leadership and management in the fields of security and law enforcement as they relate to the modern healthcare environment.
He holds a Master Peace Officer certificate from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement and is a licensed private investigator and certified personal protection officer. He earned a Bachelors degree from Excelsior College, and is a graduate of the Texas Law Enforcement Management Institute’s Leadership Command College. Fowler also is a Texas Certified Public Manager.
Fowler served the citizens of Texas as a commissioned military officer in the Texas Military Forces from 2005 until 2018, where he led in both military police and civil affairs units, rising to the rank of Major. His final posting was Signals Commander overseeing statewide communications for the Army Component Command, TXSG, based at Camp Mabry, Texas.
